At 91 years old, renowned artist Gerhard Richter is proving that he is far from artistically retired. His first solo show with his new gallerist, David Zwirner, features 14 abstract paintings from 2016 and 2017, as well as 2023 construction "Three Discs" made of steel and glass, and abstract drawings from the last two years. Richter's fascination with the relationship between original and reproduction is evident in the 31-part color series "Mood," which consists of inkjet copies of the original. Richter's switch from Marian Goodman to David Zwirner is due to his close relationship with the latter's father, Rudolf Zwirner, from the 1960s. This show is a testament to Richter's continued creativity and passion for art.
