With its groundbreaking representation of Ai-Da Robot since June 2020, the Annka Kultys Gallery has become the first gallery in the world to represent a humanoid robot artist. In April 2020, during the lockdown, the gallery launched [The art happens here], an online platform dedicated to showcasing digital art in its 'natural habitat.' In May 2022, the gallery expanded to ANNKA KULTYS PHYGITAL, a one-of-a-kind virtual reality gallery for exhibiting, contextualizing, and collecting NFTs. This innovative approach extends the gallery's offline program, championing millennial artists and analog and digital art engaged with technology.
The gallery's exhibition program consists of six solo shows a year featuring paintings, sculptures, and works on paper, augmented by occasional live performances. The gallery also hosts two annual group exhibitions: one in January, called CACOTOPIA, and one in July, in collaboration with a guest curator. The gallery strongly focuses on LGBTQ+ artists, highlighting diverse perspectives in contemporary art.
Since January 2021, all artworks sold by the gallery come with a blockchain-registered certificate of authenticity. The gallery also accepts cryptocurrency as a form of payment for all analog and digital paintings.
