Nurturing Narratives: Stories that Speak

Ordovas

Ordovas is a private gallery nestled in the heart of London, dealing in the finest of 20th-century and contemporary art. The gallery, founded in 2014, is renowned for its museum-quality exhibition programme. Grounded in a passion for art and a commitment to excellence, Ordovas offers a unique blend of discretion and unrivalled access to public and private collections worldwide, guiding both established and new collectors through the intricate world of art.

The gallery is the brainchild of Pilar Ordovas, a seasoned art dealer with a rich background in the industry. Before establishing her gallery, Pilar spent 13 years at Christie's, where she served as International Director and Deputy Chairman, Post-War and Contemporary Art in Europe. She also spent two years as a Director of Gagosian Gallery in London. Her wealth of experience and deep understanding of the art world has been instrumental in shaping the gallery's vision and operations.

Ordovas is located at 25 Savile Row, a prestigious address in Mayfair. The gallery's exhibition programme is scholarly in tone, focusing on historical works as well as modern masters. It often presents pieces that have not been seen for generations, collaborating with major museums, institutions, artists’ estates, and leading curators to mount thoughtful and revealing exhibitions.

In addition to its London base, Ordovas has an overseas presence with a non-profit gallery in Jaffa, Israel. This space is dedicated to providing emerging Israeli and international artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work freely. This commitment to nurturing emerging talent is a testament to the gallery's dedication to fostering artistic development and promoting diverse voices in the art world.

Ordovas has organized exhibitions in conjunction with several leading institutions, including The Courtauld and The Dulwich Picture Gallery in London, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. These collaborations underscore the gallery's commitment to promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of art.

Ordovas is more than just a gallery; it is a sanctuary for art lovers and collectors alike. Its commitment to showcasing a diverse range of art, combined with its dedication to supporting emerging and established artists, makes it a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts.
