Rodeo Gallery, founded by Sylvia Kouvali in 2007 in Istanbul, has since become a significant player in the international art scene. The gallery's program has always maintained an international approach, focusing on the qualities of the works rather than their geographical origins. The primary goal of Rodeo is to expand the dialogue between collectors, museums, and curators towards an international understanding of contemporary art.

Since its inception, Rodeo has focused on working closely with institutions and biennials alongside artists to produce and present groundbreaking works internationally. In October 2014, Rodeo opened its second space in London's Soho, expanding its focus and bringing significant presence in major exhibitions worldwide. In June 2018, Rodeo opened a new space in Piraeus, Greece. This new location serves as a platform to present artists from the roster, invite new positions, some of historical relevance, and some younger artists aiming to write history.

With a move from Soho to Mayfair in January 2020, the gallery established a new programming structure, offering artists both locations to produce exhibitions spread across London and Piraeus. This unique opportunity allows artists to focus on the breadth of their practice, to look historically as well as produce new work, and to consider two very different geographies simultaneously.
